Takao

Today I would like to talk about my day trip to Mt. Takao. I went to Mt. Takao on a Friday. My boyfriend took the day off of work so we could have a three day weekend. Since it was a weekday, Takao was pretty empty. We took the lift up and we barely saw any other people.

After we got off the lift, we climbed up the mountain. Going up, we took the easiest path. It was nice because that path has lots of shrines and a temple also on the way up.

Once we got to the top, we looked around at the view. We couldn't see Mt. Fuji, which was a little disappointing. I ate some ice cream and my boyfriend enjoyed a beer while we were at the top.

On the way down was when things got interesting. We decided to take a more difficult trail going down. It was trail #6. This trail has many natural parts. At one point, we had to walk in the middle of a stream on some stepping stones. I think this trail is good for more experienced hikers. It took a long time to go down, but it was really fun!

After finishing our hike, we came back to Tokyo. I was so tired on the train that I fell asleep. Once we got back to Shinjuku, we had dinner and went home. It was a really nice experience for the beginning of spring. Since the weather is warming up, everyone can try to do more outdoor activities! What kinds of outdoor activities do you like?
