Airbnb

Today I would like to talk about a trip I took recently and the company I used to book accommodation. Recently, I went to Busan in South Korea. I went there with my friend. While we were there, we met two of my Korean friends. We rented an Airbnb. For those of you who don't know what an Airbnb is, it is like an apartment but you rent it like a hotel. It's much cheaper than hotels. I definitely recommend this company when you travel abroad or even in Japan.

Airbnb is a company that got popular in the US in the past few years. People decided that they would like to rent their apartments out to travelers. They register on Airbnb, and then you can rent their apartment just like a hotel. The rules are the same as a hotel basically. You can't be too noisy and you can't leave a big mess, however usually the hosts will give you nicer products at the house. If you are lucky, you can also get chargers or converters and things like that. I think that using Airbnb gives you a better feel for the country you are in. It shows you what apartments and normal daily life is like in those countries.

You have to check the host before you book. Sometimes the hosts aren't so good, so you need to check the ratings. After you stay at an Airbnb, you get to rate the host and leave a public comment for them. The hosts can also rate the guests. Because of this, guests behave nicer than they might if there were no rating system. For two nights, my friend and I only paid ¥4000. That price is all together, not per person. So per person, it was only ¥1000 per night. The apartment was big enough for nine people. We were really lucky. It was really nice. This is why I recommend Airbnb, because you can find some really nice places for very very cheap.

Would you ever use a company like Airbnb?
