Taal volcano

Today I would like to talk about the day trip I took while I was in the Philippines. I went to a volcano about 2 hours south of Manila, called Taal Volcano. We went there through a tour package with our hotel. Since it was a package, we got a private car to drive us there. It was really nice because we could peacefully nap in the back and didn't have to worry about our belongings.

It took us about 2 to 2 and a half hours to get there. Once we got there, we were given the option of climbing the mountain or taking horses up the mountain. I love horses, so we chose to go up by horse.

The volcano was on an island in a huge lake, so we had to take a small boat to the island. The boat ride was really fun! We could take some nice pictures and we also got to go pretty fast on the water.

Once we got to the island, we took horses to the top. Once we got there, we sat in a small hut that overlooked the volcano and had a coconut. In that moment, we could really feel we were in a tropical place. After resting for about 10 minutes, we took some pictures at the top of the mountain and then went back down.

After descending the mountain, we took the boat back to the mainland. There, we were served traditional Filipino food for lunch. The food was very delicious. We ate tilapia, chicken and potatoes, rice, and cooked vegetables. After lunch, we started to go back home.

On the way home, we stopped at a big park and walked around. We went to a small zoo, where you could hold all the animals. It was also really fun. I got to play with a monkey, which was really cute.

In the end, the trip cost us a little over ¥10000, which wasn't that bad, considering we were able to take a private car, had lunch provided, and got to see amazing scenery. If you get the chance to visit the Philippines, I definitely recommend Taal!
