Okutama Camping

Today I want to talk about what I did last weekend. I went camping in Okutama. Even though it is close to Tokyo, it was really cold there. It was about 1°C at night. There was no heat in the cabin. I was freezing. But first, I'll start from the beginning of the story. On Saturday afternoon, I met my circle at Okutama station. There were about 50 people that came. I was really excited to go camping with everyone.

Once everyone gathered, we all walked to the campsite. Our group had rented two cabins, one for drinking, and one for sleeping. But first, we were going to look around the camp area and then have a barbecue. We decided to walk down to the river, which was close to the campsite. It was really pretty, so we took lots of pictures. We even tried skipping rocks. I was really bad at it.

After walking around by the river, we decided to get the barbecue ready. It was getting dark, and much colder. The heat from the barbecue was really nice. We got into groups and each cooked our own meat. After the barbecue, we ate yakisoba. It was all really good. Then, after we ate, it was time to go to the hot spring. There was no option for showers, so many of the foreigners felt a little uncomfortable. I also felt a little uncomfortable, but I have been to hot springs before. We all went in together, so there were about 30 girls in the hot spring together.

After the hot spring, it was time to drink. We all gathered in one cabin and said cheers. Some people drink a lot. In the end, I had to take care of some drunk people. I couldn't sleep at night since I was taking care of everyone, but it was still a good time. When we woke up the next day we decided to look at the autumn leaves around the station. They were really beautiful, but I decided to leave early because I needed to sleep. Overall, it was a really fun time and I want to go camping again, but I want to go somewhere that has heat.
