Exhibition

Today I would like to talk about an exhibition I went to in Chiba. It was an exhibition for giga dinosaurs. If you don't know, "giga" means very very large. The exhibition advertised that there would be many fossils and bones of giga dinosaurs, so I really wanted to go.

First, I went to Kaihinmakuhari Station. Then I went to the event hall that the dinosaurs were in. As soon as I walked in, there was a giant skeleton of a dinosaur that was around 5 meters high. It was enormous! I was really excited to look around at all the dinosaurs.

There were many different kinds of dinosaurs from all over the world. There were ones from China, the US, Canada, Spain, and more. Beside each fossil or set of bones there was an explanation of the dinosaur and some interesting facts about it. These were very hard for me to read because my kanji skills are not so good, so my Japanese friend explained some of them to me.

There were also simulation videos, showing what life might have been like thousands of years ago for the dinosaurs. This was super interesting for me. It made me want to go back in time and experience it for myself.

There were also a couple of animatronic dinosaurs. This means they could move around, like giant robots. These were also interesting because it was like seeing a real dinosaur.

The last thing we did was go to the gift shop. Everything was pretty expensive so I didn't buy anything. I really wanted to buy a stuffed dinosaur though. Overall, it was a really fun day and I could learn about dinosaurs and practice my Japanese. Have any of you ever been to an exhibition or a museum in a foreign country? What was it like?
